Very welcoming hotel, nice staff, newly refurbished and very clean. My kids loved the rocking chairs in the balcony....Although a bit further away from the beach, it kept us active during our stay there....Enjoyable!
Loved it. For 2 starts it is absolutely the best that I've seen at the Romanian Seaside. Polite staff, super clean room and bathroom ( we have 2 kids, so I moved the beds near a wall, and underneath it was just as clean as the rest ), comfy beds ( the mattresses looked brand new ), nostalgic rocking chair in the balcony, with a small coffee table and an additional small chair, hanging thread to dry clothes and cable tv with cartoons :D. Fridge was very useful and worked properly. While the bathroom had a tad of old here and there, everything was perfectly functional and hot water was almost instantly provided ( unlike other 2 star communist marvels in which you'd have to wait and hope for hot water to take a shower). There was also AC available, but we didn't need it. I think there's an extra charge for it. However, if needed, it's there, which itself is an advantage. The wardrobe was a bit wobbly, so the clothes hangers would rattle when opening the door, but it wasn't too much of a problem. All in all, whatever small inconveniences I could find were as non-existent. This hotel redefines the concept of 2 stars hotel ( in my opinion, in Romania, at least ) and it's the best bang for your buck that you can get. There's a bar at the reception which, albeit a bit expensive, is very useful for sweets, snacks and beer :D. The outside yard has tables and a children's playground, which once again, were very pleasant surprises.
The only downside is the location, in my opinion. It's a bit further from the sea and there's definitely no sea view. But for us It wasn't a problem, as we went to a different beach anyway, by car.
I would recommend more parking spaces, though. It can get pretty crowded on the street
I would like to mention one more thing. I've rated other communist marvel hotels, which were also very pocket friendly. However, in terms of overall amenities, this one is the best, by far. If it would have had a sea view, it would have been simply perfect, in my opinion.
Good place for 2 days (but not for a long holiday) nice and helpful staff.
The hotel is exactly as described, it is clean, it has AC, a wardrobe, a small fridge and a small tv (more than enough ☺️). Of course it is a 2 star hotel so you cannot expect to have higher quality of furniture, mattresses and other. For us it was important to be clean and to have AC because it was very hot. 10 minutes walking distance to the nearest beach, but we didn’t like the beach in Venus….
Clean towels daily.
Quiet
Decent rooms.
Not so good:
Small parking spaces and not enough for all rooms
Even though im a 6years old customer, im not able to get a second floor room. On 3rd is too hot for my kid
The hotel is very clean, better than some 4 stars hotels I stayed at. No dust, not even in the wardrobe. Windows are also fine and they close well, and there are good mosquito nets.
It has a private parking which is a bit hidden (you have to ask at the front desk). Staff is polite and helpful. And not intrusive :) It has a playground for kids and is surrounded by trees and flowers which are quite cool and relaxing in the afternoon when the sun is hot on the beach side.
It is ~500m from the beach in Venus, but we went to the beach in Saturn by car so we did not care about this at all.
Venus itself feels a bit degraded, but hotel Sanda is well taken care of and we enjoy staying there.
One thing we did not like - walls are thin and you can hear noises from rowdy tourists, slammed doors and creaking beds ... but I guess that's the same anywhere.
A very quiet place to spend a relaxing weekend to the Back Sea! There is a parking lot but you can't find it, isn't marked like it should be! Nice bartender he knows how to meke your evening great! Beautiful garden in frot of the hotel, but it closes at 10 o'clock pm, maybe to soon! All in all it was nice!
Everything was ok. The only small problem is that the location of the hotel is about 500m. away from the beach. If you need to rest is the perfect place. A clean hotel with nice people.
The hotel is located approx. 500m from the beach, the rooms are cleaned properly, even on 35 degress C the rooms are cool without AC. There is a bar and backyard with a barbeque place and a kids playground. The only drawback is that there is no restaurant.
